Be Open to Wonder.
There it is, right on the top of the home page. What is it about? From the Philosophy of Exuberance (a work in progress) there is this explanation:
Wonder awakens the child we have put to sleep, brings that aspect of who we are more fully into ourselves — creating a mutual feedback loop with the wonder around us.
This is about recognizing the wonderful things that are near us, being still and letting the wonder fill us up. The feeling that comes from this is a weird combination of peaceful and excited. When we are so filled with wonder and share it, that peaceful excitement goes out and comes back stronger. For example, seeing a great sunset and pointing it out to someone who shares that feeling.
If I try to remember these wonderful moments, I get a few details but mostly it is the feeling that comes back. The most amazing things that happen in our lives live more in our hearts than our heads. And that means no matter how many times we hear our children laugh, see that special someone smile, and whatever you just thought of — if we open ourselves to wonder every time the experience can be as powerful every time.
