What is Exuberance? Why do you keep talking about Wonder? I know that words have power, and words chosen with care mean more. Here are those two key words and a list of characters who inspire me with how they live exuberantly.

Wonder

Wonder is a word rich in meaning and mysterious in origin. It can refer to being filled with amazement, encountering the unexpected or something miraculous, and even the "emotion excited by what is surprising." Most words have an origin we can trace, but wonder is one of those that just appeared. Hmmm.... Helps explain why words like "wonderful" and "wondrous" are common in faerie tales.

Exuberance

Exuberance has its roots in words that mean abundance and life-giving, all the back to the Latin. My dictionary offers four definitions, the first "lavish; effusively and almost uninhibitedly enthusiastic." That helps explain why most of us don't use the word often: it means more than we intend to say. This is not "okay" or "good" or "nice:" No! Even the words used to define exuberance are over-the-top words we don't much use! Who wouldn't want to live "lavishly" and "enthusiasm" every moment they could?
